Daniel Rogua photography

On this website you will find my photographic work, which is fundamentally focused on eroticism, beauty, masculine sensuality and, to a lesser extent, feminine sensuality. In my work I play with permanent ambiguity, as well as with a certain degree of absurdity through which I try to provoke mixed feelings of confusion and an often romantic and aesthetic attraction within the spectator. The situations that are represented by the images themselves are, on many occasions, yet to be defined and only to be interpreted by the people who look at them.

My work has been exhibited on several occasions and has received attention from both Spanish and Mexican media.

My perception of beauty is not particularly filtered by sexual desire but by idealization:

by the sublimation that causes onlookers to voluntarily make their realms of fantasy inaccessible to the artistic object.

In a world where promiscuity is easy, my work is the result of a classical vision of existence, in which beauty is a virtue and source of inspiration. Furthermore, I hope the spectators of my work will understand it the same way.

I would also like to say that if some of those who have been ignored for so long could look at themselves through my eyes, they would soar the skies, and would do so without frivolously boasting, they would accept, and be satisfied in doing so, the gift that the gods have given them.

Daniel Rogua.
